As Time Moves

Recently, there was a discussion on time moving faster as we get older.  In actuality, we don't really know if time is moving faster because we're getting older or simply that time is moving faster.  The Bible says that - Mark 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days,...he hath shortened the days.If the Bible is not your thing, there are scientists who theorize that the rotation of earth and the other planets in the galaxy have sped up and that the Sun is getting hotter, both altering the experience we call time.

There is one thing we all know though and that is 'time IS moving on'.  The discussion ended up having me think about my own life, how I use my time, and where I'm going.  I cannot really say where I'm going.  I can plan a path but I've found that the journey I call life has rarely followed the path I set out on.  And that's a good thing.  It is the twists and turns on my journey that have really added spice and beauty to my life.  I could not have imagined the beautiful things I've been able to experience; my mind is too simple for that.

Those that know me on a personal level know that I have difficulties at time relating to other people.  It is work - hard work.  They see my frustrations and struggles and I wonder, at times, if they think that I don't see the beauty of this life and the time I spend in it through those frustrations.  Oh but I do!  Life is fascinating, truly fascinating and the concept of time marching on never seizes to amaze and inspire me to use every minute offered.

Whatever time I have left, I want to spend it experiencing the surprises that I hope I will continue to be blessed with.  I hate the challenges and mountains at times but damn the view is beautiful whenever a peak is reached and I forget how arduous the climb was as I made those portions of my journey.
